Editorial Policy

Nuneaton List aims to be concise, organised and down-to-earth. We group information so readers can find the right category quickly, with clear descriptions and practical next steps.

What we cover

We publish local business listings, restaurant guides, shopping recommendations, attractions and everyday service information. Our lists are selected to help residents and visitors find useful places; they are not intended to imply that one option suits everyone.

Nuneaton and its wider area

We distinguish Nuneaton town centre and its shopping streets from neighbourhoods such as Stockingford, Camp Hill, Chilvers Coton, Attleborough, Weddington, Galley Common, Horeston Grange and Whitestone. Bermuda and Bermuda Park are associated with employment and commercial premises south of town. Bedworth is a separate neighbouring town; Hartshill and Ansley are separate settlements. Hoar Park Craft Village lies near Ansley outside the central urban area.

George Eliot was born at South Farm on the Arbury Estate, outside the town centre. Central memorials, the museum and sites associated with the estate have different locations and access arrangements. We identify which connection a guide means and do not conflate birthplace, memorials and other literary sites. The River Anker runs through the town; the Coventry Canal offers its own route and waterside setting.

Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council have different responsibilities. George Eliot Hospital is a healthcare provider, not a council office. Nuneaton Railway Station is close to the centre, but not every West Coast Main Line or CrossCountry service stops there. We check current operator details before giving journey guidance.

Sources and changing details

Where practical, we use sources close to the subject, including a business’s own information, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Warwickshire County Council, venue and organiser pages, transport operators and relevant public bodies. Business status, market days, shop tenants, opening hours, prices, healthcare services, school admissions, route conditions and event programmes can change. We check current information where feasible and encourage readers to confirm important details directly.

We do not invent business names, ratings, customer feedback, opening hours, prices, event dates or service coverage. We distinguish ribbon weaving, coal mining and brickmaking as historical context rather than implying they are dominant current industries. We verify the current name and status of sports clubs and organisations before describing them as active.

We avoid unsupported claims about individuals, safety, health outcomes, school quality, property prices or neighbourhood demographics. For legal, medical, financial or urgent matters, we provide general signposting only and direct readers to official or qualified sources.

Recommendations and commercial relationships

A listing or recommendation is not automatically paid for or endorsed. If content is sponsored or has another commercial relationship, we will identify it clearly. Commercial arrangements do not by themselves determine our editorial view.

Corrections

To report a possible error, email [email protected]. Include the page address, the detail in question and a reliable source if possible. We review correction requests and update material errors where appropriate. Minor edits may be made without a separate note; substantial corrections may be identified on the page.

A request does not automatically require removal or amendment. We consider accuracy, relevance, privacy, safety and the public interest. We do not publish private personal information or unverified allegations about individuals.

Scope

Our lists are selective, not a complete directory. Inclusion is not a guarantee of quality, availability or suitability, and absence is not criticism. Confirm important details with the relevant organisation before making a decision.
